An independent MP, Grigol Vashadze, has quit parliament. He said his membership in the parliament has no political sense and cannot be justified morally.
“The adoption of the bill, whatever geographical definition it may be from Russia to Zimbabwe, has no judicial, political, moral or pragmatic justification. If this bill turns into law, it will be used for the establishment of an authoritarian regime. Even if discussions stop today, our European Perspective has been seriously damaged.
Yes, when someone uses an incorrect part of their anatomy to think, the result is social tension and conflict with citizens, allies, and public organizations. Under such circumstances, my seat in the parliament has no political sense and cannot be justified morally. I quit the parliament. What matters to me is the viewpoint of Georgian society. I keep hope that the government will reject to pass the bill,” said Grigol Vashadze.
