Family members and relatives of those killed in the armed attack in Sagarejo have gathered at the scene. The police are questioning eyewitnesses who claim the shooting was launched from the balcony of a residential house.
According to reports, the assailant also opened fire on the ambulance.
An assailant opened fire from a private apartment late last night in Sagarejo. Five people were killed, and five more were wounded. The Interior Ministry reported the offender committed suicide.
Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri said the attacker served in the Georgian Armed Forces between 2006-2021.
Four individuals were wounded and are being treated at Geo Hospitals. The fifth injured patient’s condition is not life-threatening.
