Human Rights Committee Chair: No international institution has right to interfere in a country’s sovereignty
“Legislative activity is the duty and obligation of a representative body elected by the people. No international institution has the right to interfere in a country’s sovereignty, especially when we see that in most cases, similar laws are adopted with a stricter ediction in various European countries,” said Rati Ionatamishvili, Chair of the parliamentary Human Rights Committee.
“Such biased resolutions only undermine the fairness and independence principles of international organizations. I hope these bureaucrats will finally acknowledge that with similar moves, they will not change anything regarding Georgia, yet will add grave episodes to their own track record,” he said.
