“European bureaucrats are not interested in human rights; their goal is to pursue narrow political interests,” said Rati Ionatamishvili, Chair of the parliamentary Human Rights Committee.
According to Ionatamishvili, their reputation in the eyes of Georgian society is tarnished by double standards.
“European bureaucrats are not interested in human rights; their goal is to pursue narrow political interests. That is why they, on the one hand, incite violence and turn a blind eye to obvious facts, and on the other hand, they attack Georgia unfairly. They do not care that by using double standards, their reputation in the eyes of Georgian society is tarnished,” he said.
