The Georgian Health Ministry announced that 9 demonstrators were hospitalized during the protests on the night of December 6.
According to the Ministry, the injured individuals had chest and upper limb traumas, intoxication and minor fractures. Two patients remain under the care of medical professionals, and their conditions are not life-threatening. Others were discharged from clinics.
“Over 20 teams from the Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Centre were deployed to the protest site. First Medical Aid personnel assisted dozens of protesters and journalists at the scene,” the Ministry stated, citing information from the Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Centre.
