Hailstorm hits Gurjaani

A heavy hailstorm and strong wind hit the Gurjaani municipality of the eastern Kakheti region of Georgia last night.

Locals said that the natural disaster destroyed crops and vegetable plants. The detailed information on the inflicted damage will become known on August 4, as acting Gurjaani Municipality Mayor Leri Gelenava reported.

Heavy hailstorms in Kalauri, Velistsikhe, Vazisubani and Mukuzani villages lasted five minutes.
