GPB First Channel has published topics statistics covered on its platforms, based on internal monitoring data.
The coverage frequency of all priority topics has soared in 2021 compared to the previous year. Mainly surged the coverage of social/citizens problems, Georgia’s current political developments and international politics.
On top of that, the coverage of topics linked to the EU and NATO integration also increased.
The coverage of issues related to children and adults swelled as well.
The coverage of female participation in sports also grew.
Georgian Public Broadcaster, as a responsible and accountable media, has been conducting internal monitoring since 2019 via a specially-created program.
The monitoring program sorts data into 13 main and 132 sub-areas which is constantly updated. Covered subjects are also measured by the program. Data is processed according to both gender and representation.
