Government issued order on evasion of use of administrative resources during presidential elections
The Georgian government issued an order on evasion of use of administrative resources during the second round of 2018 presidential elections. The order was signed by Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze on November 19.
The order outlines restrictions for public officials; defines duties of election commission members and bans holding of promotional activities in favor of any political party.
Public officials are prohibited to give promises to voters about monetary compensation or distribute gifts on part of eligible entities.
