Girchi’s Khvichia: After madness of Khazaradze and Lelo, I expect him to step away from politics

“The madness that Khazaradze and Lelo have displayed over the past year leads me to believe that Khazaradze will soon be leaving politics altogether,” said Iago Khvichia, leader of the Girchi party.
Khvichia was asked about the recent statement from Lelo, suggesting that the party should take its rightful place in city councils.
“Following the chaos orchestrated by Khazaradze and Lelo over the past year, I expect Khazaradze to hang up his political boots and walk away from all this. He’s unlikely to pour any more money into this madness. It’s hard to see Lelo’s strategic investment in politics as anything other than a profit-making endeavour for Khazaradze. How can anyone fail to be exhausted by the recklessness Khazaradze has displayed since entering the political arena? Boycotting parliament and refusing to enter it was a mistake; he openly boasted that he would bring down the Tbilisi City Council with just two people. That’s simply frivolous. But, honestly, who’s surprised by such frivolity from Lelo?” Khvichia remarked.
