The 2016 elections served as elimination of political class on purpose — Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia said during delivering the annual report in the parliament.

President said that self-governance was weakened and reforms of parliamentary elections were postponed till 2024 that harmed institutional rule of the country. “There were no steps made to make the opposition stronger,” President said.

Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili is delivering an annual report at the plenary session in the parliament. Political debates will be held following the annual speech.
