Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili welcomes all steps serving to increase women’s participation in representative bodies. This is mentioned in the Prime Minister’s statement on compulsory gender quotas.

The Prime Minister believes that the equal involvement of women in politics, economics and social development in the process of building a democratic state is of utmost importance.

According to Prime Minister, improvement of legislation on gender equality issues and increase women’s labor rights is an obligation taken by Georgia through the Association Agreement with the EU.
