We firmly support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, – the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili said after the meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked Ukraine for the unconditional support toward Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“Unfortunately, our countries have the similar problems and challenges. We firmly support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders; we strongly condemn the occupation and annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city, as well as the aggressive and illegal actions of the Russian Federation in the eastern regions of Ukraine.
Russia’s illegal actions in Ukraine are the continuation of aggression in Georgia, which took place in August 2008 and ended with occupation of Abkhazia and South Ossetia / Tskhinvali regions of Georgia.
I once again thank the Ukrainian side for the unconditional support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty”, – Kvirikashvili said.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman is paying a visit to Georgia.
