“We respect and value this partnership with Lelo and Mamuka Khazaradze, built on parity, responsibility, and coordination,” the leader of the Gakharia for Georgia party, Giorgi Gakharia, posted on social media following the nomination of the agreed Tbilisi mayoral candidate.

According to him, the candidates of the For Georgia and Lelo parties will not oppose each other in any municipality.

“Today, together with the Lelo – Strong Georgia Coalition, we announced our agreed candidates for Tbilisi Mayor, Head of Sakrebulo, and Vice Mayors, completing the first stage of our agreement, a promise we made to the Georgian people.

The agreed candidate for Tbilisi Mayor, Irakli Kupradze, is a young politician with a clean record, long remembered for standing on the frontlines in the fight against different regimes. His candidacy is fully acceptable for our team.

Our party’s candidate for Chair of the Tbilisi City Council, Giorgi Sharashidze, is an experienced and principled leader, known for integrity, professionalism, and service to Tbilisi and its people.

We respect and value this partnership with Lelo and Mamuka Khazaradze, built on parity, responsibility, and coordination, a new political culture that puts the people of Tbilisi and Georgia above party interests.

Not a single candidate from our two political organisations will run against the other in any of the 64 municipalities across Georgia, proof that two different parties can stand together when the European future of our country must be defended,” Gakharia wrote.
