Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakharia left for Pankisi Gorge, where another clash between locals and law enforcers took place.

Participants of the negotiations ongoing at Telavi Regional Police Station left the meeting. The locals of the village of Birkani took such decision after when clashes resumed.

Several people, including journalists, have been injured in Pankisi Gorge. Protesters were throwing stones and sticks at the special units. The law enforcers used tear gas and rubber bullets.
