102 years ago National Council passed an Independence Act and made the most significant step towards further development of the country. It is the most pivotal day in the history of Georgia and back then, precisely on May 26, the First Republic defined the forthcoming orientation of our country. –  announced Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia at the military base of IV mechanized brigade in Vaziani today, which was a venue for a celebratory event dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia with an engagement of the defense forces.

“I wish to congratulate each Georgian, each citizen of Georgia, our expatriates living overseas, our Abkhaz and Ossetian brothers with the Independence Day, having a strong belief that we will succeed in building our country, in shaping a prosperous state” – said the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Head of Government of Georgia particularly congratulated the national holiday to each and every soldier, who are protecting the global security in peace missions and thus contribute to the future development and security of their homeland. Prime Minister of Georgia stressed the contribution made by the Georgian army in the successful management of the pandemic together with citizens of the country.

“I wish to particularly congratulate each soldier, who is nowadays bringing fame to our country through peace missions by ensuring global security and thus contributing to the future development and security of their homeland. We are all fighting against the global pandemic together. We should all remember the role plaid by the Georgian army in the successful management of the pandemic together with our citizens. We all managed to localize and effectively manage the risk together” -added the Prime Minister of Georgia.
