“We have unequivocally agreed that drug dealing and drug dealers are our common problem, the problem of our country and when Ministry of Internal Affairs has substantiated and reasonable suspicion on drug trafficking crime nobody can restrict the area of activity of the operation of MIA” – the Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakharia made the regarding statement after the meeting with the members of White Noise Movement.
He said that the meeting was important and only on this platform is possible to continue the discussion.
According to the Minister, all issues, including the details of the May 12 Special Operations, will be considered jointly.
“We are ready to discuss all the issues and answer all the questions about the night of May 12. We promised our guests that we would discuss in detail the cases of abuse of power”, – Minister said.
At the same time, a decision was made at the meeting to set up 2 groups, one of which will work on the legislative reform of drug policy and the other one will study the legality of the May 12 developments.
