German Embassy says popularity of Georgian wine increasing in Germany

“In 2024, 1.28 million liters of wine were exported from Georgia to Germany, marking an increase of seven times in wine exports over the past ten years. We welcome this amazing process,” the German Embassy in Georgia wrote on Facebook.

According to the Embassy, the popularity of Georgian wine is gradually increasing in Germany.

“German and Georgian people have many things in common, including a love for wine. It is not astonishing that the popularity of Georgian wine is gradually increasing in Germany. In 2024, 1.28 million liters of wine were exported from Georgia to Germany; this amount is approximately 6 million glasses of wine, marking an increase of seven times in wine exports over the past ten years. We welcome this amazing process,” the Embassy said.
