According to the National Statistics Office (GeoStat), criminal proceedings were launched against 2,689 individuals in September 2025. Of these, 157 individuals had committed offences before the expiry of their probation period, accounting for 5.8% of those proceedings.

Data from GeoStat indicates that the highest number of cases initiated in September was recorded in Tbilisi, with 884 cases. This was followed by 355 cases in Adjara and 20 cases in the occupied region of Abkhazia.

The distribution of cases initiated in September 2025, based on specific articles of the Criminal Code, is as follows: Theft – 324 cases; Threats – 247 cases; Domestic violence – 196 cases; Assault – 190 cases; Rape – 8 cases; Depraved acts – 8 cases; Fraud – 64 cases; Illegal purchase or possession of narcotics, their analogues, precursors, or new psychoactive substances – 716 cases; Illegal sowing, cultivation, or growing of narcotic-containing plants – 178 cases; Making false documents – 160 cases.
