Geostat: Kyrgyzstan's largest export destination, Turkiye's top importer for Georgia in January-July 2025
Preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reveals that Kyrgyzstan was Georgia’s leading export partner, while Turkiye was the primary source of imports from January to July 2025.
The ten largest export partner countries accounted for 79.9% of Georgia’s total exports. Kyrgyzstan topped the list with exports valued at USD 815.5 million, followed by Kazakhstan with USD 494.8 million, and Russia with USD 412.0 million.
As for imports, the ten biggest partners made up 71.6% of Georgia’s total imports. Turkiye led with USD 1,556.2 million, closely followed by the USA with USD 1,553.1 million, and Russia with USD 1,087.5 million.
Regarding export commodities, passenger cars dominated the market, accounting for USD 1,478.9 million, 38.5% of total exports. The second-largest export group was precious metal ores and concentrates at USD 202.9 million. Alcoholic beverages were in third place at USD 148.1 million.
According to Geostat, passenger cars also led imports with a value of USD 2,058.3 million, representing 20.0% of total imports. Petroleum and petroleum products came second at USD 727.6 million, followed by paintings, handmade drawings, and pastels at USD 481.3 million.
