GeoStat: Kyrgyzstan leads export destination in January-September; USA tops import
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), in the period from January to September 2025, the ten largest export partner countries accounted for 79.7% of Georgia’s total exports.
Kyrgyzstan ranks first among these, with exports valued at USD 1,080.5 million. Kazakhstan follows in second place with USD 658.5 million, and Russia is third, with USD 543.1 million.
Regarding imports, data from the agency indicates that during the same period, the ten largest import partners made up 71.1 per cent of Georgia’s total imports. The top three are the United States, with imports worth USD 2,060.0 million; Turkiye, with USD 2,027.0 million; and China, with USD 1,430.6 million.
Additionally, according to GeoStat, among the top ten export commodity groups during this reporting period, light vehicles led with USD 2,003.9 million, representing 38.9% of all exports. Precious metal ores and concentrates ranked second with USD 276.2 million, while alcoholic beverages came in third, totalling USD 200.7 million.
In terms of imports, light vehicles also topped the list, with a value of USD 2,805.1 million, accounting for 20.9 per cent of all imports. The second largest import commodity group was oil and oil products, valued at USD 972.2 million, followed by packaged medical products in third place, with imports worth USD 510.7 million.
