GeoStat: Georgia’s foreign trade in goods sees 9.1% growth in January–September

According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), Georgia’s foreign trade in goods (excluding undeclared trade) reached USD 18,545.0 million between January and September 2025, marking a 9.1 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

Of this total, exports amounted to USD 5,151.4 million, representing a 7.7% rise, while imports stood at USD 13,393.7 million, up by 9.7%.

Georgia’s trade deficit in the first nine months of 2025 amounted to USD 8,242.3 million, accounting for 44.4 per cent of the country’s total foreign trade turnover.

The report also highlights that the ten largest trading partners accounted for 68.5% of Georgia’s total foreign trade during this period. The country’s leading trading partners were Turkiye, with USD 2,264.8 million; the United States, with USD 2,127.1 million; and Russia, with USD 1,898.5 million.
