Georgia’s PM meets with Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers
Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, held talks with Nokerguli Ataguliev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
According to the Georgian government, the meeting centred on the relationship between Georgia and Turkmenistan, as well as prospects for future cooperation.
“Various aspects of bilateral cooperation were discussed. It was highlighted that Georgian-Turkmen relations have reached a qualitatively new level, with high-level visits playing a significant role in further strengthening these ties. The discussion encompassed trade and economic relations, placing special emphasis on collaboration in agriculture and tourism. The current regional situation was also addressed, with an emphasis on Turkmenistan’s efforts to promote peace and stability across Central Asia. The crucial need to adopt a similar approach to ensure the sustainable development of the region was emphasised,” the statement from the Georgian government reads.
