Georgia's minimum subsistence level to rise

The minimum subsistence level (minimum level of income of a natural person) has increased in July 2021, National Statistics Office (GeoStat) reported on Monday.

The latest figures showed that the minimum subsistence level for working-age males reached 218.3 GEL, 3.8 GEL higher than in July this year.

GeoStat calculates the subsistence level based on the minimum food basket, consisting of 40 different products, including bread, cereals, meat, dairy products, vegetables, and confectionery.
