Georgia’s Military Police Department welcomes Armenian Defence Ministry delegation

A delegation from the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia visited Georgia.

The Head of the Department, Major General Ashot Zakarian, along with members of the Armenian delegation, was received by Major General Shalva Shengelia, Head of the Military Police Department of the Georgian Defence Forces. During the introductory meeting, the parties discussed avenues for cooperation.

The Georgian hosts provided an overview of the structure, aims, and objectives of their Military Police.

The guests observed a demonstration exercise conducted by Georgian Defence Forces Military Police personnel in Vaziani. The exercise encompassed search and cordon procedures, patrolling, protection of high-profile individuals, and other key components.

The visit of the Armenian Ministry of Defence’s Military Police delegation to Georgia aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and facilitate the exchange of experiences.
