Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili held a meeting with Walid Abu Haya, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Georgia.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the Minister extended her congratulations to the Ambassador on his appointment and conveyed her best wishes for his successful tenure. In return, Ambassador Abu Haya presented Maka Botchorishvili with an invitation from the Foreign Minister of Israel.
The discussion centred on the existing partnership between Georgia and Israel, outlining priorities for future cooperation and exploring opportunities to deepen relations across various sectors.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close collaboration within international platforms.
The Minister welcomed the recent agreement between Israel and Hamas on the initial phase of the Gaza peace plan, highlighting the significant efforts and contributions made by the United States and President Trump in advancing peace in the region. Botchorishvili also reaffirmed Georgia’s support for a peaceful resolution to the conflict and the safe release of hostages.
