Georgia's Ambassador to U.S. meets Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chair
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, held a meeting with the Chair of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee of the U.S. Senate, Senator Rand Paul (R), who also serves as a ranking member of the Foreign Relations, Health, Labour and Pensions, as well as Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committees.
The Embassy of Georgia in the United States reported on the meeting.
“Within the framework of the meeting, the discussion focused on the prospects of strengthening U.S.-Georgian relations. Regional affairs, the importance of peace initiatives and relevant issues on the international arena were also discussed,” the statement reads.
