Georgian President to meet with German Chancellor

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel within the framework of her official visit to Germany today. The visit aims at deepening relations with member states of the European Union and NATO.

Zurabishvili will also hold a meeting with President of Germany in an expanded format. The two presidents will then give a joint press conference.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili paid an official visit to France before she departed to Germany.

On February 19, Zurabishvili met with Emmanuel Macron, President of France at Élysée Palace. The two Presidents signed a declaration about the establishment of Dimitri Amilakhvari French-Georgian Dialog that envisages cooperation in different spheres.

Zurabishvili’s French visit began on February 17. Georgian President visited France’s first lady Brigitte Macron along with her children at Élysée Palace on February 18.
