Georgian President meets President of Slovakia

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met the President of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

President Kavelashvili wrote on Facebook that the main priorities of cooperation between the two countries and prospects for further deepening of relations were reviewed during the meeting.

“I noted at the meeting that bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Slovakia is based on traditional ties between peoples, common values, and respect for each other’s national interests. We emphasized the significance of economic ties and activation of branch cooperation.

I expressed my gratitude to the President of Slovakia for support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty,” Kavelashvili wrote.
