Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili engaged with the Trade Minister of Yurkiye Ömer Bolat in talks over strategic partnership, which the President described “as based on trust, mutual respect and national interests.”
According to the presidential administration, Kavelashvili remarked that Georgia values Turkiye’s unwavering support for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The President and the Minister reviewed intensive economic cooperation-related issues and joint projects.
“Current projects of regional and strategic significance confirm effective strategic partnership, sustainable development and reliable partnership between our countries. I hope we will upgrade economic ties to a higher level,” Kavelashvili said.
The President emphasised that Georgia is dedicated to promoting peace, stability, and trust in the South Caucasus, prioritising dialogue through diplomacy and cooperation.
The meeting at the Presidential Palace was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbay, Deputy Trade Ministers of Turkiye, the Head of Presidential Administration and the President’s Advisors.
