Georgian President grants pardon to 70 individuals on Svetitskhoveli Holiday

President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili has granted pardons to seventy individuals in celebration of the Svetitskhoveli holiday.

According to the presidential administration, the pardons included 42 non-custodial sentences and 24 prison sentences, while four individuals had their convictions completely expunged.

“The President of Georgia’s use of the exclusive powers granted to him by the Constitution is rooted in the principles of humanism and the best interests of the state,” the administration stated.
