Georgian police detain two Turkish nationals wanted under Interpol Red Notice in Adjara

Officers from the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have detained two Turkish nationals wanted internationally under Interpol Red Notices.

According to the Ministry, the individuals were being sought by Turkish law enforcement authorities for various serious offences.

“Following extensive investigative measures, law enforcement officers apprehended the convicted individuals at different times in Batumi and the Khelvachauri Municipality.
Extradition procedures as provided by law are currently underway regarding the detainees,” the Ministry statement reads.
