I am sure your visit will bring Georgian-German relations to a new level,- Georgian Prime Minister told German Chancellor Angela Merkel at a joint press conference at the Georgian government’s administration today.

Mrs Federal Chancellor, thank you very much for paying visit to Georgia. It is a great honour for us to welcome you as a friend, a supporter of our country.

I am sure your official visit will bring the Georgian-German relations to a new level.

The continuous support from you and the government of Germany towards our territorial integrity, as well as our population and our nation’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, is invaluable for us.

I would like to point out that visa-free travel with Europe is the most important achievement on the way to European integration and this is the kindness that we especially care about.

We are proud that Georgia is a faithful and genuine partner for Germany – Bakhtadze stated.
