FM Botchorishvili hails PM’s Kazakhstan visit as key driver for strategic partnership and Middle Corridor development
The Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, has briefed the press on the Georgian Prime Minister’s official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to Botchorishvili, the high-level meetings in Kazakhstan focused heavily on deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing priority areas within the framework of the Georgia-Kazakhstan strategic partnership.
The Foreign Minister noted that a central theme of the talks was the expansion of the Middle Corridor, carrying immense strategic weight for both nations.
“The absolute priority, of course, is the development of the Middle Corridor. Kazakhstan holds a deep interest in partnering with Georgia on this front. Naturally, we are equally committed to advancing our cooperation with Kazakhstan within the context of the Middle Corridor’s development,” Maka Botchorishvili stated.
The Vice-Prime Minister emphasised that the visit reaffirmed the close partnership between Georgia and Kazakhstan, highlighting both nations’ readiness to pool their efforts in strategically vital areas. This collaboration, she noted, will bolster regional connectivity, drive economic growth, and foster greater prosperity.
“We discussed the significant potential that exists between our two countries to elevate trade and economic relations, business ties, people-to-people connections, and cultural cooperation even further. Broadening our collaboration across these various sectors will yield great benefits not only for our respective nations but for the entire region,” Botchorishvili added.
