Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met Bilal Erdoğan, President of the World Ethnosport Confederation.

According to the Government Administration, the meeting focused on the friendly relations and strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye, as well as cooperation in the field of sports.

The parties discussed the ongoing World Wrestling Championship in Tbilisi. Bilal Erdoğan thanked the Prime Minister of Georgia for hosting and organizing the championship at a high level.

Bilal Erdoğan is visiting Georgia at the invitation of the Ministry of Sport of Georgia in connection with the World Championship in Georgian Wrestling.

For the first time in history, Georgia is hosting the World Championship in Georgian Wrestling. The championship will be held on October 25 and the winners will be determined in absolute weight categories.
