“We honour the vivid memory of the millions of victims of the Holocaust,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said in a statement in commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
“We honour the enduring memory of the millions of Holocaust victims today, along with the entire international community. We express our deepest gratitude to those who miraculously made it through the most tragic event in human history.
Today, we reaffirm our obligation to ensure that such tragedies never occur again and our determination to combat all forms of hatred to create a more secure and libertarian world,” the PM stated.
Holocaust Remembrance Day is an international memorial day, marked on January 27, that commemorates the victims of the Holocaust, the genocide of European Jews by Nazi Germany between 1941 and 1945.
