Georgian PM confers with OSCE Secretary General on regional cooperation and political developments
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu in a discussion centred on the productive partnership between Georgia and the OSCE.
According to the Prime Minister’s press service, the meeting also addressed the current political climate within Georgia and the forthcoming local elections.
“We covered a range of topics, particularly those of interest to the OSCE, including the organisation of the upcoming local elections. We also discussed the broader situation in the country, regional developments, and aspects of bilateral cooperation,” Irakli Kobakhidze explained.
The Prime Minister further shared on social network X (formerly Twitter) that he expressed his gratitude for the OSCE’s ongoing commitment to peacebuilding and its steadfast support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“At the 7th European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen, I had the pleasure of engaging in fruitful discussions with H.E. Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu, Secretary General of the OSCE. We exchanged views on recent developments in Georgia and the wider region. I expressed my appreciation for the OSCE’s continued engagement in promoting peace and its steadfast support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the Prime Minister stated.
