Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with the BP Regional Director Gary Jones on Friday.
The meeting discussed the investments made by the company in Georgia. BP has been cooperating closely with Georgia for 25 years and is one of the largest investors.
Georgian side expressed readiness to discuss various investment directions, including renewable energy projects in Georgia.
The meeting underscored the importance of BP’s projects in Georgia, including the three major oil and gas transit pipelines, Baku-Supsa pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. The sides stressed the importance of the South Caucasus Pipeline Project (SCP).
