Georgian peacekeepers returned from Afghanistan

Reinforced Company of I Infantry Brigade successfully accomplished Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. The military personnel returned without casualties.

The Georgian peacekeepers were welcomed back at the Tbilisi International Airport by Commander of the East Command, Brigade General Alexandre Kiknadze and I Infantry Brigade Commander LTC Roland Dzneladze. They congratulated the military personnel on return without casualties, thanked them for a successful mission and wished them success.

Reinforced Company of the 1st Infantry Brigade was carrying out mission in Afghanistan in Mazar-i-Sharif, Camp Marmal during 7 months. The main tasks of the unit under German command included control and rapid response.

Reinforced Company of the 1st Infantry Brigade was replaced by the Reinforces Company of the III Infantry Brigade.
