Romania, meanwhile, remains in the hunt for a place in the 2026 World Cup, as they compete in the playoff stages. Mircea Lucescu’s side will face Türkiye in the semi-finals, with a chance to secure their spot in the tournament.
Ahead of the June fixture, Georgia will face Israel in Tbilisi on March 26, followed by a match against Lithuania in Kaunas on March 29.
