Georgian Muslims celebrated Ramadan Bayram, one of the greatest holidays of the Muslim world. The festive prayer was held at the central mosque in Batumi.

“Today, we need unity, mutual understanding and forgiveness like air. Our main duty is to protect religious and national values simultaneously,” said Adam Shantadze, the Mufti of Georgia, during his sermon.

The Chairman of the Government of Adjara and other official representatives of the autonomous republic congratulated the Georgian Muslims on the holiday at the central mosque in Batumi.

In connection with the Ramadan Bayram holiday, on March 30, Batumi municipal buses will serve passengers free of charge.
