Georgian MFA extends condolences to families of Lisbon's Gloria Funicular railway crash victims
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic derailment of Lisbon’s Glória Funicular railway,” reads the statement of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on the X Platform.

“Our heartfelt condolences go to Portugal and to the families of the victims in this time of grief, and we wish a swift recovery to the injured,” reads the statement.
At least 15 people have died and 18 others are injured after Lisbon’s famous Gloria Funicular railway derailed and crashed, emergency services said.
Portugal’s emergency medical service authority said that five of those injured were in a serious condition. The remaining 13, which includes a child, sustained minor wounds. The cause of the crash remains unknown.
The government of Portugal declared September 4 a Day of Mourning.
