Georgian MFA condemns acts of violence, stands in solidarity with US
“We are deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the attack in New Orleans,” reads the statement of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) posted on the X Platform.
“We strongly condemn all acts of violence and stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the people of the United States during this difficult time,” the Ministry said in its condolence statement.
At least 15 people were killed and dozens injured when a driver rammed a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans early on New Year’s Day. The FBI is investigating the attack as an “act of terrorism” and said it doesn’t think the driver was “solely responsible.”
