Georgian Interior and Israel's National Security Ministers sign cooperation agreement
During their official visit to Israel, Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze and Israel’s Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, as reported by Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The ministry stated that this agreement will foster the expansion of police collaboration between Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Israel’s National Security apparatus across multiple areas. These include the exchange of practical expertise and the further strengthening of cooperation between the migration authorities and police academies of both nations.
In their bilateral discussions, the ministers addressed current issues of law enforcement cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on sharing experiences and best practices related to ongoing and upcoming events.
“Concluding the meeting, Geka Geladze highlighted the vital role of police attaches in bolstering bilateral ties. He also expressed his gratitude to his Israeli counterpart for the productive discussions and warm hospitality,” the MIA said in a media statement.
