Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, will take part in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in the city of Samarkand.
During her visit, Minister Botchorishvili will deliver a speech at the conference and hold meetings with fellow ministers and UNESCO officials.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Georgian pavilion will be established as part of the conference’s programme, showcasing the country’s intangible cultural heritage, including the ancient tradition of qvevri winemaking and Georgian polyphonic music.
Additionally, a performance by the renowned Georgian folk ensemble “Basiani” will take place at the Samarkand Music and Drama Theatre.
The events in Samarkand are organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the National Wine Agency.
