Georgian FM says Wizz Air stays in Georgia and continues operation

“Wizz Air does not go anywhere, it stays in Georgia and continues operation,” Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani has said during a joint conference with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Siarto.

According to Zalkaliani, “Georgia is actively communicating with the representative of the company in order to plan upcoming flights incrementally.” The Minister noted that “this process depends primarily on the epidemiological situation.”

Georgian FM added that “the recent rumour saying that the Hungarian low-cost airline was planning to close its base at Kutaisi International Airport is nothing but the speculation, which has nothing to do with the real picture.”
