Georgian FM says negotiations underway with the countries planning to open borders
Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani said, “the negotiations are underway with the countries planning to open the borders.”
As Davit Zalkaliani said after today’s government session, “the pace of the decision should be in line with the epidemiological situation.”
“Our decision on the border crossing rules will be mutually agreed. There is a two-way situation between Georgia and Germany, France, Belgium, and Latvia.
We take care of their citizens as well as our citizens. Therefore, long-term being on the list of the safe-countries is important for me,” the Minister stressed.
The EU decided to put Georgia on the list of the safe-countries that are allowed to enter a bloc.
