On the occasion of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili held a meeting with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay.
According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both parties expressed a positive assessment of the existing cooperation between Georgia and UNESCO in the fields of culture, education, and science, and explored further prospects for their partnership.
Minister Botchorishvili expressed her gratitude to Audrey Azoulay for the continued collaboration and support for initiatives dedicated to safeguarding Georgia’s cultural heritage.
The discussion also centred on the issue of cultural heritage in Georgia’s occupied territories.
Audrey Azoulay acknowledged and appreciated Georgia’s active engagement in UNESCO’s activities.
