Georgian Deputy Justice Minister: By stating ECHR biased, Russia eschews responsibility
Georgian Deputy Justice Minister Beka Dzamashvili remarked on Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Galuzin’s statement, lambasting international courts for their “lack of impartiality and an anti-Russian bias.”
“By stating the Strasbourg court is biased and Russia does not regret the legal status of the [ECHR] decision [ordering Russia to pay over 129 Million Euros to Georgia], they have nothing more to say and are simply avoiding responsibility,” Dzamashvili went on.
Deputy Justice Minister asserted that the Strasbourg court made its decision after examining the evidence of both sides.
Today, the Russian delegation left the 58th round of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) again while discussing the issue of the return of displaced persons.
