Georgian citizen in Wuhan does not consider evacuation

“By this point, I do not consider evacuation,” Georgian citizen in Wuhan Nino Davlianidze told Georgian First Channel. She says she follows the recommendations regarding coronavirus, and stays home all day long.

“There is no panic in the city, everybody follows the recommendations. Everybody is very careful.

I haven’t been outside for a long time, but my friends told me that markets in the city had opened and that the product was no longer a problem.

The government’s recommendations are to adhere to maximum safety rules, to wash our hands frequently, to disinfect our homes, to clean our rooms. If you go out, you have to avoid crowded places,” Nino Davlianidze said.

Davlianidze said the Embassy of Georgia to China constantly communicates with her.

“They call me every day. As far as I know, the Georgian government is working on evacuation plan.  By this point, I do not consider evacuation,” Nino Davlianidze said.

Five Georgian citizens are in Wuhan.

Georgian Ambassador to China Archil Kalandia says there is no need to evacuate Georgian citizens from China at this time.
