Georgian and Portuguese MPs hold bilateral meeting at NATO Assembly

During the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Georgian Parliamentary Delegation held a bilateral meeting with their Portuguese counterparts.

The Portuguese delegation reaffirmed its support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and its Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations.

At the request of the Portuguese side, the Georgian delegates provided an overview of the security situation in Georgia and the Black Sea region, the Russian occupation of Georgian territories, and the challenges and opportunities stemming from ongoing geopolitical shifts.

Both sides expressed readiness to deepen cooperation within the NATO Parliamentary Assembly framework.

The meeting was attended by Georgian NATO PA Delegation members Givi Mikanadze, Chair of the Committee on Education, Science, and Youth Affairs, and Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the Committee on European Integration.
